Meenu’s solicitor practice includes advising clients and preparing all types of business and employment law, property leasing/development, and managing and licensing intellectual property. Meenu is a registered Canadian Trademark Agent, and has significant experience in trademark registrations advises clients on the enforcement of rights in Canada and internationally.
Meenu also has extensive litigation experience and has appeared successfully before the Federal Court and Alberta Court of Queen's Bench on a variety of business litigation and intellectual property. Meenu has successfully appeared in the British Columbia Court of Appeal and British Columbia Supreme Court on contempt of court and family law matters.
Meenu’s family law practice is expanding, and she works with clients requiring culturally and linguistically competent services in South Asian communities. Meenu also helps clients carefully navigate “gray divorces” and advises in that growing area of family law.
Meenu completed an undergraduate degree in cell, molecular, microbial biology, with a minor in English in 1995 and then completed her law degree, both at the University of Calgary. Meenu was called to the Alberta bar in 2000. Meenu is an active community volunteer as a board member at YMCA Calgary, PCHS Calgary, a social services agency, and has just retired from the board of Momentum, a financial literacy organization.
